2008 RAVEN REUNION

Oct 16-19

Text Box:
"I now know why men who have been to war yearn to reunite. Not to tell stories or look at old pictures. Not to laugh or weep. Comrades gather because they long to be with the men who once acted at their best; men who suffered and sacrificed, who suffered and stripped of their humanity.

I did not pick these men. They were delivered by fate and the military.  But I know them in a way I know no other men. I have never given anyone such trust. They were willing to guard something more precious than my life. They would have carried my reputation, the memory of me. It was part of the bargain we all made, the reason we were so willing to die for one another. As long as I have memory, I will think of them all, every day. I am sure that when I leave this world, my last thought will be of my family and my comrades... Such good men."

MUST DO:

Reunion reservations: edgunter@aol.com or (830) 560-2522.

If you’re a regular, but can’t make it this year, please let me know.

Hotel reservations: Hawthorn Suites  (210) 655-9491.  Tell them you’re with the Ravens.  Same place, new owners.  They’re upgrading there.  A new reception area, a mini-gym for you guys who are into that instead of standing around the ice chests drinking beer & listening, some upgraded rooms.  We have a block of 42 rooms.  Get your reservations early.

Ground Transportation: Jim Kellogg. Transportraven@aol.com  (210) 488-4458

This year’s reunion will be a great one.  Our unnamed source at high levels in the pentagon will  have an update on our MIA Raven brothers during the business meeting.  And if you can corner him, he might have an off-the-record comment on some other issues……

The schedule will be posted on the web site and will be similar to years past.

Costs:  If you pre-pay BY OCT 1, $205/person; $370/couple. Checks to EAPLS at 132 Trelawney, McQueeney, TX, 78123.

After that, the cost/person will be $225; $395/couple. Note: These prices may go up as we get closer if any other prices rise.

Even if you don’t pre-pay, I need to know if you’re coming to get an accurate count for meals.
